Number 20 to be sent (251438)

This one is going to Finland to a 15 year old who asked for a favorite lyric or poem. Well, when I saw this request I was excited. My exact words were, "Honey, this is the card for you!"

See, many times when we get the request for a card he will say whether or not he likes my choice in the card to send. He may even comment on what I wrote. But he pretty much leaves it up to me. What I mean by that is, if he doesn't like what I chose, he'll tell me, but he doesn't give me much more input than that. However, you ask for music and he is all over it! He loves music! I like music, too. But my husband probably has every type of music from all over the world. And I mean EVERY TYPE. Pop, rap, rock, country, humor, music from everywhere, it's almost too much. But he was all over this. I picked the picture:

Then he suggested many very inappropriate lyrics. Then he suggested some not inappropriate, but very l o n g lyrics. I couldn't begin to write them on the back of the card. Then he hit the nail on the head. This was a lyric that he tried to be cute and make as his "song for me". But I had to nix that because this is my parents' "song for me". So this is what she gets on the back:

Our favorite lyrics:
You are my sunshine; my only sunshine
you make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

Jennifer's favorite poem
I eat my peas with honey; I've done it all my life
They do taste kind of funny; but it keeps them on the knife

J + R R

Alright, I added a goofy poem, but I think it adds spice to it. A little more about the lyrics. See, growing up my nickname from my parents was Sunshine. They never stopped calling me that. Everyone else uses my name in various forms; my parents use Sunshine.

People who were not part of the family heard this and immediately broke into this song. It used to annoy me. Now, it doesn't annoy me so much. However, for my husband to use the same nickname for me as my parents...well that's just creepy. I put an end to that very quickly.
