When the show
Friends was popular, they showcased Minsk by name. Getting a card from there made me
ridiculously excited; like a kid on Christmas morning excited. I know, I'm strange that way. I know that
Friends was a show that got international publicity, did you watch the show?
This card came in an envelope, so it was a surprise when I opened it and got to see the pictures:
I love the
picture. For me, it looks like the old mixed so perfectly with the old. What an awesome view!
This also means that the stamp was on the envelope, which turns out to actually be printed on the envelope?
And now for the message:
Can you read that? Yeah, it is kind of hard to read in this size, so I'll write it out for you:
Hey Hey, Robert and Ryan!
I'm postcrosser and my name is T. Living in Belarus (you know this small country between Poland and Russia). On this post card you can see almost center of Minsk in the winter. And few words about me :) I life with my friend and sometimes I think that my life consists from music, music and music again. Oh... music-addicted.
Exuse me for my not perfect language. Now I'm sitting in my chair and listening to the Doors.
Oooh,
noone else can sing about love like Tim Morrison does! I have never been to U.S.A., but maybe someday. This summer I travelled across the whole Europe. In Belarus we speak
Russian and I want to write "
Bce Sygei xopouio" It means "every thing is gonna be alright" I'll be waiting for any answer from you :)
Salut.
Since I can't (okay, haven't taken the time to figure out) how to write in foreign characters on the computer yet, I figured the best was was to highlight what was
written and then translate it for you:
This is Russian for Every thing is gonna be
all right."
Awesome postcard! We really appreciate it! Oh, don't leave yet, she does have a
website, if you can read Russian, go check it out!
