Number 19 to be sent (249771)

Since another of the cards has been received, we requested another address. This one is going to China; Beijing, China! Where the Olympics were just held! The picture in her profile seems to be taken at the Olympics, so that's kind of cool. I followed the Olympics very closely this year as noted here. Anyway, back to the card I am sending.

She requested cards about our city/culture and then mentioned animals that are from our country, so I had two cards to pick from. One is the card you see pictured after my ramblings here. The other was a card with a jackrabbit and a tortoise from the desert. When I asked my husband which of the two I should sent, he said we should send one from Sea World. Well, that was no help at all since I don't have one from Sea World and so, since he wouldn't give any more of an opinion, he is temporarily fired from choosing cards (his termination is only until the next request of a card comes through). So, without further ado, here is the card I so carefully selected:

She also requested information about our city/country/culture (and an interesting stamp if possible). Well, I don't have an interesting stamp, but I rather like the stamps we have been using, which actually may be interesting for those outside the country. (For those of you who have received our cards in the past, you can let us know what you think in the comment section). Anyway, I got off rambling again. What you really want to know is that interesting information I am sending across the ocean. Here it is:

Hello, From your profile picture it looks like you attended the Olympics. Hope you had a great time! The picture onfront is part of Balboa Park, the nation's largest urban cultural park. It has 15 museums, the San Diego Zoo, gardens, performing arts venues and so much more. It is one of my favorite places to just go and walk around in. If you ever visit this is a place you must go.

.....

I really mean that, too. This is such a great place! To walk around it free, and there are all sorts of "street" shows to stop and watch or listen to. Every Tuesday is a free museum. Every Sunday there is a free cultural experience in the houses of the nations. Even the museums are affordable if they aren't free. And, of course, who hasn't heard about the world famous San Diego Zoo!?!
