What I found unique and interesting was that the sender (a woman from Germany) wrote sideways on the postcard. Maybe this was because the message fits better this way; maybe because it is just her type of signature way. I don't know, but I liked it. She has beautiful handwriting: Okay, I must confess, I did have to have my husband interpret one word, but that is more because of me; it says nothing of her handwriting. She wrote:

I'm glad she told us a bit about the building on the front. It really is beautiful! And it's been around so long! Goodness knows we don't have building around that long here (our country isn't even that old yet! I love my country. I think it is the best in this world. But I do wonder about those countries who have stood the test of time, and the fabulous history behind them.
