Number 13 to be sent (243329)

Another address was requested tonight, and this is the one I chose. It's on its way to South Korea. That's awesome! She didn't specify what she wanted to card to look like, so I chose this one:
She did, however, specify what she would like to read. She mentioned liking to read books (so if there were any suggestions) as well as wanting to hear about traditions or recipes from the country or hometown. I struggled for a while in what to write. One of the great things about living in this great country is the mix of traditions that everyone has...because of the different ancestry we all share. I figured out halfway through filling out the card what I should write about. So, this is what I wrote:

Hello fellow postcrosser!
Living in the USA, there really are a potpouri of traditions that show the roots of all ancestry. In my family, we have a tradition of making homemade raviolis for Christmas dinner (one of my favorites). More of an American holiday is Thanksgiving. This takes place in Nov and is from the time those first landed as a colony here and came together to get through those tough times.

J + R R

I wish I had thought about Thanksgiving when I started, but that's okay. I think I like the mix of the two. Hopefully she will stop by this blog and chime in as well!
